The Somerset Food Trail is back this July and Mowbarton Estate joins the fun (and discovery) for the first time. The Trail, described as a 'countywide farm-to-fork showcase' runs from  15 to 24 July and we at Mowbarton will be open on Saturday 16 July and Saturday 23 July from 3pm. Come and have a tour of the vineyard and enjoy the spectacular views from Glastonbury Tor over to the west and the Bristol Channel to the east, with the Vale of Avalon stretching between the two to the south. Earlier in the year you might have heard the cuckoo and the bittern calling from Westhay. But that's another story, for another time...

Summer is the time for the vineyard. The vines grow so fast that there always seems to be something to do with them: pruning, tucking in the branches, leaf-cutting and eventually, harvesting! Come and find out more about the story of this boutique vineyard on the south-facing slopes of the Isle of Wedmore. Sample the wine itself and drink in the views of the beautiful countryside stretching out before you.
